Gran Turismo has been one of the longest developing series' in gaming...it took so long from Gran Turismo 3 to Gran Turismo 4 that it lost a big chunk of its fanbase, the last minute delays and deletions of the very wanted online aspect made it suck even more...

Gran Turismo 5 is coming along just as slowly as ever so they forced the creator to make sure he gives them something earlier in the PS3 lifeline than later when it's sure to die out... so he gives them Prologue, which is just a fraction of what the real GT5 is supposed to have...

I'd rather play Forza 2 20 times over than wait for Gran Turismo 5 to finally show it's head

Forza 2 has like over 30 tracks now and more cars and tracks are added every week for online...you can customize the cars with as much creative detail as using Photoshop or Illustrator...then you can sell them online in an auction house...it has real in game damage and more car licenses then Gran Turismo has ever had...

no I'm not a fanboy, I don't think the XBox is perfect, it has it's flaws, and they're pretty big flaws...I know the PS3 has better power and better capabilities to produce more amazing games...but they haven't done it yet and I don't see any game in their future that will...

I'm more a gamer than anything else Steve, so believe me when I tell you that I'm not a fan boy, I just love my 360 but I will still be getting a PS3 later...just not now, and not until I either get (a) a 1080p tv, or (b) a must own game comes out for that system...

360 actually has a much more powerful GPU unit than PS3, the PS3 uses a hybrid NVIDIA 7800 class GPU.

Steve probably thinks the GPU is "TeH CELl", but that is the CPU in the PS3.

unless the designers cant work with it and maximize it's power like they have with the 360...

They both have a CPU and a GPU, much like a computer. The Cell is the CPU.

The PS3 is also hampered by a bad RAM architecture. It's split 50/50, half for the GPU half for the CPU. The X360 can allocate its RAM wherever it is needed most. This is why you see better framerate on the X360.

I've just always been a PS guy. Had a 1, 2 and now a 3. I am used to the controllers, and have no problem finding games I want to buy.

And I DID look at those graphics, and I STILL think the PS3 looks better. The XBox is too dark and pixelated.

Yeah. I had one and everyone laughed because they said there were no games worth a shit. Pretty much the roles have changed this time. Next platform to come out will return the edge to Microsoft. Its just a game they play with us.

No I don't. I have a 50" 1080i plasma and to me, the games look as good as they need to. If I want eye candy, I would tell both systems to shove it and run a game on the all time best gaming platform which has and always will be the PC.

I have a collection of over 2500 DVD's so starting a new library ala blu-ray aint gonna happen. I saw plenty of examples of blu ray at work and honestly it looks nice, but fuck paying the premium to get a little better quality picture.

The game library for the 360 is perfectly suitable to me and especially since I got into it late, I can get cheap used games from EB/gamestop and return em for a full refund, no questions asked within 7 days.

No I don't, so I couldn't give a farting monkey's hemmerhoided brown starfish that PS3 is free and 360 is for 50 a year. Even if I did care, if I wanted to get online it would cost me less than what one would pay for a game.

Sure there might be PS3 only games that I might salivate after but then again, the shoe could be on the other foot.

And Steve, for the record, you were enjoying Gears of War quite a bit when you came over the other night, so shut your piehole.

Component is analog and requires the following to match HDMI:

Good DACs in the source ( Xbox ) and receiver ( TV ), and high quality cables. Your 360 should be set to 720p.

HDMI is all digital and has virtually no issues with interference and cable quality. Buy a $10 HDMI cable and replace 5 cables with one.

Get a better system (e.g Playstation 3).
