Cost $96 at Person Ford in LaVerne.

Anywho, what were these 2 things that cost $21.95?

1) Fuel System Treatment
2) Engine Metal Treatment

Are these worth nothing or did they actually help the car?

Pobably some gimmik the dealer sells you that is 99% profit for them . My brother just had a 75 service done at Nissan, with some TB cleaning for 400 bucks. Ripoff city.

Shit if I know.

The car is running good, now. I also can't complain that through 15,000 miles I've spent a total of about $150 in service on the car.

the fuel system treatment is prolly cleaning the injectors and fuel filter. it is supposed to be replaced every 15k anyway.

the engine metal treatment is prolly crap.

fuel system/emission system cleaning should be done every 30k, engine metal treatment is probly their fancy words for and oil system type cleaning which they add in b4 the old oil is drained and let the car idle for 5 mins, then proceed with an oil change. The dealer charges way too much, FORD wanted 900$ to do a 90K service on a car that a customer brought to me, we did it for $300

I am the manager at a quick lube in North SD county if any of you peeps want work done to save money ok...and we take not nearly as much that the delaer does, timewise...

I just did a service on my car by myself for under $200. Which included an oil change, fuel filter change, new spark plugs, power steering fluid refill, fuel injector cleaner, new steeda clutch cable and steeda clutch quadrant, and a "clean cotton" air freshner. Plus a few other things that I can't remember.

Maintaining your car on your own rocks. Waaay cheaper than going to a dealer.

I am still not kicking myself for spending $150 total through 15,000 miles.

You shouldn't kick yourself. $150 is good. Dealer's who try to rip people for being uneducated in cars are the problem. $900 for a service? Total bullshit.

So, should I not have paid $750 to rotate my tires?

The guy said they would be rotated in accordance with the Ikspat 3000 guidelines.

This is a typical 15,000mile check up list:

*Check Tires
*Check Battery
*Check Suspension
*Check Brakes
*Check fluid levels(maybe we'll top it off if we feel like it)
*Check Wiper Blades(But you'll never know we did it or not cuz it never rains in Cali, but in case you need a new set, we have some available for $100 a pair. And if you do it today, labor is included)
*Check Headlights
*Replace engine oil and oil filter

*We also recommend you replace your transmission oil as we found some metal shavings in your transmission. But it does not come with your 15,000 mile service.
*Have we told you about our wonderful technicians whom happened to have taken about 2-3 cigarette brakes and a coffee brake while servicing your cars? Oh, never mind the oil stains we left on your carpet and your seats. We also sell degreaser in our service department.

Ha Ha!! Nice!! I remember when I took my 06 to Fairview Ford over here for a dash rattle and when I got it back, not only was the rattle worse, my car smelled like someone smooked a floor bong in it!! Never took it back there, and fixed the rattle myself.

i stopped taking my car to Infiniti dealer when I saw my first oil change receipt. $82.50 for a regular oil-change. To their defense, they did let me take home a 'free' loaner car........uh....free??? I paid for it.

i only go to dealership for warranty work, for $82.50, i can find time to do the oil change myself and get to try different awesome synthetic oils. :p
