Sonic Cobra 08-04-2006, 04:43 PM Very original Malone. I am damn proud man. SanDiego01Snake 08-04-2006, 04:46 PM haha if its under warranty, let mossy handle it AT6svo 08-04-2006, 04:50 PM I am damn proud man. You're quite welcome. GummyBear 08-04-2006, 04:54 PM My stang does the same thing from time to time. All depends on what kind of mood she's in. Typical woman. Gotta be in the mood to go backwards. AT6svo 08-04-2006, 04:56 PM Hey Mike, does it get any better once the car is warmed up? Double clutching will prolong 2nd but can't quite do that for reverse. :( SanDiego01Snake 08-04-2006, 05:00 PM FWIW, my 03 GT had trouble in 2nd and reverse, after a few runs at c-bad and horsing around on the street. howver i've had nothing but good luck with my cobra Kloogy 08-04-2006, 05:05 PM Mine is fine so far. It has done that a few times since new, but never consistently. GummyBear 08-04-2006, 05:08 PM Hey Mike, does it get any better once the car is warmed up? Double clutching will prolong 2nd but can't quite do that for reverse. :( Mine only acts up when it's cold. I wonder why it does that? And, if it's something I need to be concerned about down the line? djc 08-04-2006, 05:36 PM reverse is so over rated. Blue3vGT 08-04-2006, 05:39 PM My T-3650 is working like a charm. dmontzsta 08-04-2006, 06:01 PM Mine only has problems going in to first, from a stop. You can attempt it and it is tight, but you back off and try again and it is fine. 01yellerCobra 08-04-2006, 06:03 PM Don't forget that the clutch adjustment can affect shifting. If you have an aftermarket set up you might want to check the adjustment. If it's still stock, the cable might be stretching. AT6svo 08-04-2006, 06:09 PM Mine only acts up when it's cold. I wonder why it does that? As the car warms up, the viscosity of the ATF thins, making it easier to lubricate everything, particularly the syncros, which facilitate shifting into gears. A thinner synthetic lubricant may help the situation. Hehe. Lubricant. :D As Bob mentioned, if the clutch cable is not disengaging the TOB enough, it will also be hard to get into gears. Kloogy 08-04-2006, 06:12 PM Mike said lubricant....huhuhuhuhhhuuuu.... SD KB 08-04-2006, 09:16 PM howver i've had nothing but good luck with my cobra Only one solution as I see it! It seems like a common problem. And, it's not only on startup, it could be fully warmed and not want to play nice. SanDiego01Snake 08-04-2006, 10:55 PM i know a shop you can take it to, they are real solid...
